History of our Company

20 July 2001

Foundation of the one-man business MOREWA Holenstein, based in Oberhof, by 20-year-old Sandro Holenstein. Starting capital: CHF 1'000.00
   

January 2003

The first employee is hired.
   

March 2003

Relocation of the company to Gipf-Oberfrick, Bodenmatt 6 with for the first time its own workshop (100m²) and office (12m²).
   

August 2003

The first apprentice begins his apprenticeship as a plant and apparatus constructor

January 1, 2004 Foundation of the public limited company Morewa AG
   
March 2004 Relocation of the company to Landstrasse 88 in Gipf-Oberfrick (workshop area of 250m²).
   
May 2, 2006 Acquisition of the current company headquarters in Auenstein and the complete company inventory of the former R&W Fricker AG
   

June 2006

Introduction of a project management system and further development of adaptations
   

Summer 2007

The first planner/draftsman as well as an employee for administration with a 100% workload is hired.
   
December 2007 3-dimensional construction program CAD Inventor is introduced.
   

December 2007

Groundbreaking ceremony for the extension of the production and storage hall as well as the office
   

December 2008

New CNC press brake Bystronic is installed
   

September 2009

Inauguration of the extension building: complete production and storage area 1000m², office 65m².
   

November 2009

Additional storage space for used machines of around 1000m² in Lenzburg.
   
August 2014

Acquisition and introduction of a CNC plasma / oxy-fuel cutting system.
Cutting capacity: stainless steel up to 45mm / mild steel up to 100mm cutting surface 1.5 x 3m.

Introduction of online time recording for all employees via smartphone.

   
November 2015 Networking of internal software systems
   
January 2017 Specialisation of the individual trades in the area of production
   
November 2017 Commissioning of its own 7x4x4 m sand blasting plant with medium glass balls for blasting, iron granules.
   
January 2018 Restructuring of the company into the divisions: Projects, Production, Service, Supplies
   
February 2018 Opening of the mill center Rupperswil / 3000m2 area move office construction / administration to Rupperswil.
   
March 2018 Opening of the magazine for monthly equipment.  
   
August 2018 Expansion of the Board of Directors.
   
September 2018 Expansion of the vehicle park.
   
October 2018 Introduction of barcode for inventory items.
   
December 2018 Opening of the webshop for piping products.
   
January 2021 On January 1, 2021, Morewa AG will take over the fenaco plant construction unit.
   
September 2021 Opening of the location at Mühlestrasse 13 in Rickenbach / TG
   

Today

it employs over 50 people, including trainees in five different professions.

 

Philosophy

As the owner and founder of Morewa AG, it is close to my heart to meet the growing demands of the market and the team.

As a newcomer on the market and a young entrepreneur, it is important to assert yourself against long-established competitors. Knowledge and contacts must be built up and opportunities and risks carefully measured.

Thanks to untiring efforts and despite all obstacles and steep cliffs, we have succeeded in fulfilling and exceeding all these expectations.

The constant urge to improve and increase efficiency leads to a high degree of precision. However, 100-percent perfection is often a stumbling block in itself, because flexibility and simplicity must always be maintained.

It is our goal to further expand our know-how and knowledge as well as our team and to successfully consolidate our position on the market.

Our focus on problem-solving allows us to work at full capacity practically at any time. We look forward to all the challenges that await us in the future.
